Roster News: Jets place Griffin on IR, two starters on Covid-19 reserve

In addition to confirming that they had claimed Will Parks as earlier reported, the Jets also made some other moves:

This is frustrating for Carter, who only just returned from injured reserve. If Vera-Tucker can't play the Jets could put Greg Van Roten back in, but when he went out on Sunday they turned to Dan Feeney so he seems most likely to replace the rookie.

Griffin has a knee injury but the Jets should have plenty of cover. In fact, they had five tight ends active on Sunday. White being back is a little inconvenient because they'll have to leave him on the roster, effectively losing a space for someone unlikely to play again.

Akinmoladun is a 25-year old defensive tackle who is in his third season and the Jets will be his fourth team. He has not played this season but played in four games over the previous two seasons with the Bengals, registering two tackles.
