Roster News: Jets place Neasman on IR, elevate two from practice squad

The Jets have announced their weekly roster tweaks for the Panthers game:

The Jets have presumably IR'd Neasman now rather than next week because otherwise it would be one game later that he'd be eligible to return. They will actually enter the game with only 52 on their roster, although the two elevations will of course increase this to 54, so they'll need to name six inactives.

That move also means that they can activate Jamison Crowder from Covid-19 reserve next week without having to cut someone.

With Neasman unavailable, Colbert will be needed for depth, although Sheldrick Redwine can also back up the starters. Phillips might be required, perhaps on special teams, if the newly-signed Quincy Williams isn't quite ready to contribute yet.
