Roster News: Jets poach Glaser, make practice squad move

The Jets made another move, one we'd been predicting...

We've signed OL Chris Glaser to the active roster.

Additionally, we've signed DL Bruce Hector to the practice squad and released DL Elerson Smith from the practice squad.

Glaser has been on and off the team a few times in the past few seasons so he knows the system and is a popular player among this season's roster. He has played center and guard for the Jets in preseason and may be considered a better option than Xavier Newman to provide cover for Joe Tippmann over the next few weeks. Newman remains on the practice squad.

Smith wasn't with the team very long but they opted to bring back a player in Hector who had some good moments in preseason because they need the depth inside after the Al Woods injury.
