Roster News: Jets re-sign Fornadel to practice squad, release Niemann

The Jets made a minor move to kick of Cowboys week:

We have signed OL Liam Fornadel to the practice squad.

Additionally, we have released LB Ben Niemann.

Fornadel did a functional job as a backup center in preseason and has been on and off the practice squad a few times already so clearly they view him as someone whose availability is fluid.

Niemann was one of a number of linebackers the Jets brought in as potential solutions to the recent injuries but they settled on having Kiko Mauigoa in a (near) full-time role with Cam Jones, Mykal Walker and Mark Robinson active for special teams and as cover. They still have Jackson Sirmon on the practice squad too.
