Roster News: Jets re-sign Jalin Marshall to practice squad

This was always a likely outcome:

Marshall didn't manage to convince the Jets to retain him on the active roster but they obviously haven't completely given up on him yet.

With ArDarius Stewart unconvincing so far in his role as the kickoff returner, Marshall will have a shot at being called upon to take over if he doesn't show improvements there and is a good cover option in case of injury.

Maybe they'll also think about converting him into a running back while he's on the practice squad, because that's something we've been keen to see for a while.
