Roster News: Jets re-sign Jeff Smith

The Smiths have re-formed.

The #Jets are bringing back WR Jeff Smith (exclusive rights free agent), per source.

Smith, who started four games due to injury in 2020, caught seven passes for 81 yards in his first appearance of the season against Denver but then struggled the rest of the way with just 10 catches on 28 targets.

Smith was the only exclusive rights free agent heading into the offseason. Cornerback Kyron Brown was also scheduled to be one but his contract tolled because he spent the year on the PUP list so he remains under contract anyway.
