Roster News: Jets release CJ Mosley
The Jets have confirmed veteran linebacker CJ Mosley's release, which was inevitable once Jamien Sherwood re-signed:
To the captain, you gave this organization everything you had.

Thank you, @TreyDeuce32RTR 💚
The Jets will treat this as another post-June cut which will create an additional current year cap saving of $4 million (but obviously increase the dead money hit next season).
Mosley's inability to stay healthy last season was disappointing and costly, but he was solid when he did play over the past few years. He obviously missed nearly all of his first season with the team in 2019 and then opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19.
He was a pro bowler and second-team all-pro in 2022.
