Roster News: Jets sign DL Jonathan to practice squad

The Jets opened Jaguars week with a practice squad move:

We've signed DL Kingsley Jonathan to the practice squad

Jonathan was here in preseason and the fact the Jets are adding him now could be a sign that Tyler Baron will miss some time. Baron played one snap in Sunday's game - a Dolphins touchdown - and was hurt on the play.

Also significant is the fact that the Jets did not yet add another quarterback. That presumably signifies that either Justin Fields or Tyrod Taylor (or both) should be healthy enough to play on Sunday.
