Roster News: Jets sign DL Valoaga

With the first training camp practice set to take place tomorrow morning, the Jets made some roster moves:

The 26-year old Valoaga has played in 13 NFL games since being undrafted out of UNLV in 2017, including four on Robert Saleh's defense with the 49ers in 2019. He has seven tackles, five quarterback hits, two tackles for loss and a sack.

Valoaga, who is 6'6" and 275 pounds, opted out of the 2020 season due to the pandemic. He has also spent time with the Lions, Dolphins and Raiders.

Kyle Phillips, Ashtyn Davis and Quinnen Williams remain on active/PUP which means they can be activated for practice as soon as they pass a physical. Similarly, Vinny Curry is on the active/NFI list. Tackle George Fant was also placed on Covid-19 reserve.
