Roster News: Jets sign Harvey Langi to a futures deal

In the middle of their coaching search, the Jets added another guy for next year's 90-man roster:

The 26-year old Langi, who was undrafted in 2017, signed the largest undrafted free agent contract in the league to join New England and then made their opening day roster, but he only played in one game before he season was ended due to injuries suffered in a car accident. He was also injured in camp this year, missing all four preseason games. That led to him being released in final cuts.

He was signed to the Jets' practice squad last season but then got injured.

In three years at BYU, Langi started at inside linebacker and had 137 tackles, 6.5 sacks and two interceptions, while also rushing for 102 yards and two scores as a reserve running back.

We'll be scouting him in more detail in due course.
