Roster News: Jets sign McCalister, release Bartlett

The Jets made their first move since camp began:

Bartlett is an undrafted rookie who was one of the longer shots to stick around in 2025 but the Jets are replacing him with a 25-year old safety with good athletic numbers including 4.44 speed. McCalister was undrafted in 2023 but has played in six NFL games; three with the Browns and three with the Broncos.

He had three tackles in those six games, while playing 91 defensive snaps, and also had 18 tackles, a sack and a pass breakup in six preseason games over the past two seasons. In college, he transferred from Oklahoma State to Ohio State ahead of his final season in 2022 and made an immediate impact with three interceptions.
