Roster News: Jets sign RB Coleman
The Jets apparently quickly followed up the Vinny Curry signing with another move.
The #Jets are finalizing a deal with veteran RB Tevin Coleman, source said, as the former #49ers RB lands back with Robert Saleh and will have a similar system on offense.

The 27-year old former third round pick had an awful season last year as he averaged less than two yards per carry running behind a line where a handful of other backs had good success and struggled to get any playing time. He was slowed by a knee sprain though.
Coleman, who rushed for 800 yards in 2018, did average four yards per carry in 2019.
The Jets' offensive coaches are obviously familiar with Coleman because he spent the last two years in San Francisco, but he was in Atlanta before that so defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich should also know him well.
It's a one-year, $2 million deal according to Adam Schefter.
