With Elijah McGuire's injury perhaps not as bad as first thought, the Jets seem to have opted to go down the camp body route instead of bringing in one of the more established veterans that they worked out yesterday:

Atkinson, who is 25, went undrafted in 2014 and has carried the ball just seven times in his NFL career, for 34 yards with one fumble. He rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns in a 2016 preseason game though.
Despite making a couple of plays over the first few days, Hodges was always a big long-shot to make the team once Chris Herndon was drafted.
