Roster News: Jets sign RB Toafili, cut K Davis
Practice is underway and we'll have today's recap in due course but we have another personnel move to pass along:
We've signed RB Lawrance Toafili and waived K Caden Davis.

Harrison Mevis is now the only kicker on the roster, but that doesn't mean the job is his. In fact, the Jets - who have an open roster spot - have been working out other kickers, including Nick Folk who tried out yesterday.
Toafili replaces the retired Zach Evans at the bottom end of the running back depth chart. The undrafted rookie out of FSU had attended the team's rookie camp in May on a tryout basis.
While he never rushed for 500 yards in a season with the Seminoles, Toafili had 2,800 yards from scrimmage, three hundred-yard games and 19 total touchdowns in five seasons. He registered 92 career receptions and a career-high 725 scrimmage yards in 2022. He is a smaller back who ran a 4.69 at his pro day.
