Roster News: Jets tender ERFAs Bello, Luvu, Koloamatangi and Ficken

This hasn't been officially announced yet but we can confirm that the Jets have tendered exclusive rights free agents BJ Bello, Frankie Luvu, Leo Koloamatangi and Sam Ficken. None of these moves are particularly surprising.

Bello was one of the Jets' leading tacklers on special teams last year and also scored a touchdown on a blocked punt.

Luvu has also contributed on special teams and has four sacks in two years after he was an undrafted rookie in 2019.

Koloamatangi was picked up in the middle of last year having been with the Detroit Lions for a few years. He can play all three interior line positions but is yet to make his NFL debut.

Ficken served as the Jets' kicker last year but had a statistically poor season despite connecting on a game-winner against Miami. The Jets signed Brett Maher to a futures deal at the end of the season to compete for the role.

The Jets did not tender restricted free agents James Burgess and Arthur Maulet but they perhaps could be candidates to return on a cheaper deal after starting during the second half of last season. Bennett Jackson was also not tendered so is also a free agent.
