Roster News: Jets to release TE Jordan Leggett

A semi-surprising roster move from the Jets here:

The Jets are waiving TE Jordan Leggett, per source. Another Mike Maccagnan draft pick out in New York.

Leggett, a former fifth-round pick, showed some good improvement last season, especially as a blocker, but his production had been disappointing overall.

With Trevon Wesco having been drafted, Daniel Brown coming in via free agency and both Eric Tomlinson and Neal Sterling re-signed, there was set to be a bit of a log-jam behind Chris Herndon.

The move would leave the Jets with an open roster spot once again.
