Roster News: Jets to sign DL Thomas

The Jets have made another personnel move:

The Jets are signing DE Solomon Thomas, according to a source. Thomas was a 2017 first-round pick of the 49ers and played for Robert Saleh from 2017-20. He was with the Raiders last year.

Thomas was a top three pick but has been a disappointment so far in his career. In the past, he's played on the edge a lot but the Jets will presumably try to find a role for him inside.

Thomas did not start any games with the Raiders last year but set career marks in sacks (3.5), quarterback hits (12), passes defensed (two) and forced fumbles (two).
