In addition to this, the Jets are signing Troy Reeder - who was active on Sunday - from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.
It's worth wondering what this means for waiver claim Trevin Wallace, who has been a healthy scratch in each of the first two games.
Levis gives the Jets a more experienced option than current backup Cade Klubnik in the event of a Geno Smith injury.
We'll confirm any corresponding moves as we hear about them and, of course, we'll break down these players in detail in due course. A few players suffered injuries on Sunday and one or more may end up on injured reserve.
