Roster News: Jets trade for RB Ballage

With the players opting not to practice today, the Jets' front office is still hard at work:

Ballage was drafted by Miami in Adam Gase's final year as their head coach, although he didn't play much that year. Ballage was a fourth round pick after a solid combine despite modest production in four years at Arizona State.

He's only averaged three yards per carry and caught 23 passes in limited action over his first two years, but Ballage did have a 100-yard game against the Vikings towards the end of his rookie year.

The Jets currently have Le'Veon Bell, Frank Gore and La'Mical Perine available but the fourth running back Josh Adams is nursing an injury and the only other running back under contract is Pete Guerriero, who has only been with the team for a few days.
