Roster News: Jets trade S Ronald Martin for Colts LS Thomas Hennessy

The moves continue to come thick and fast:

The #Colts have traded their long snapper Thomas Hennessy to the #Jets in exchange for S Ronald Martin.

Martin had flashed earlier on in the preseason with an interception against the Titans, but hadn't separated himself from the pack in the battle for the third and fourth safety spots. Maybe the Jets making him expendable is a good sign that Rontez Miles will be back soon.

Adding Hennessy is a curious move, which could mean that he's going to battle for Tanner Purdum's role or may just be bringing someone aboard who can play on Thursday night so Purdum doesn't have to. However, he's cheaper and younger than Purdum, who has had a couple of bad snaps this preseason.
