Roster News: Jets make roster moves, with more set to follow

The Jets made a roster move to start the week:

White will presumable be re-signed to the practice squad and then sign back to the 53 again before Sunday if Sam Darnold remains out. Adam Gase suggested today that Darnold's status is a pain tolerance issue.

Travis, who was on the Covid-19 reserve list could be elevated to serve as the fourth tight end until Trevon Wesco is healthy again.

The Jets will have more roster moves to make this week. New signing Pat Elflein is currently on a roster exemption but should be added to the 53 by Wednesday.

Gase also announced that George Fant has a knee/ankle sprain and La'Mical Perine has a high ankle sprain. One or both could go onto injured reserve to create room for Elflein. The Jets may not retain two kickers on the 53 for much longer, either.

Kyle Phillips, Bradley McDougald and Chris Hogan are all eligible to return to practice and would then have three weeks within which to be added back to the active roster.
