Roster News: Voorhis and King released from injured reserve
The Jets have tidied up their injured list by releasing a couple of guys with settlements:
We've waived EDGE Nathan Voorhis with an injury settlement and waived LB Kobe King from injured reserve

Often when this process is delayed it's because you need to assess the injury and figure out how long the player will be out and compensate them accordingly. Voorhis only went on injured reserve a few days ago, while King has been on there for several weeks. In his case, they may have allowed him to rehab and get treatment for the injury until he was healthy enough to be let go.
After Sam Scott was also released with a settlement yesterday, there are now only two players remaining on injured reserve: Caullin Lacy - who the Jets will probably keep, since they guaranteed him a six figure sum anyway and never got to see him in camp - and Kingsley Jonathan, who is probably being assessed and will get a settlement once the severity of his injury has been determined.
One other name to note is Tyler Baron, who remains on the PUP list. Baron might even have been able to return for some time, but being activated now would probably just mean he gets released in final cuts. Instead, the team may slow play this, leaving him on the PUP list to preserve a roster spot and then activate him to practice at some point in the season if they need players at the position, or want to decide whether to keep him around for next season.
