Roster News: Weaver and Cooper to IR

The Jets made a couple more roster moves so they now have two open spots:

Cooper was actually waived/injured, so he'll end up on injured reserve as well assuming he clears waivers. They may then release him with a settlement though, if the injury is not serious. He was a late addition and made a couple of nice plays in preseason but there are plenty of other candidates for roles there.

Weaver had a chance at a roster spot but hadn't made much of an impression in camp and preseason and has only really had one good season in his five at the NFL level so it's not much of a loss. It's good news for the likes of Eric Watts, Tyler Baron and Braiden McGregor, though. Could it also be an opportunity for someone like Kingsley Jonathan or Michael Fletcher?
