The JetsFix 53-man Roster Relay: The Victory Lap

As we did last year, we've been marking preseason with a series of fan-sourced roster projections. The idea is that as players make their case in preseason this will be reflected in the next leg of the relay, along with other developments such as injuries.

With preseason and the relay itself now completed, JetsFix stalwart Smoo gets to taek us on our victory lap...

At long last:

QB (3): Sam Darnold, Trevor Siemian, Luke Falk

The Jets will go into 2019 with a potential top-10 option at QB.

(Ed. Note - Luke Falk's inclusion is the only change from the previous leg)

RB (4): Le’Veon Bell, Ty Montgomery, Bilal Powell, Trenton Cannon

Ty Montgomery’s ability to double as a wide receiver makes keeping four backs an easy call.

(Ed. Note - No change from the previous leg)

WR (6): Robby Anderson, Quincy Enunwa, Jamison Crowder, Deontay Burnett, Josh Bellamy, Tim White

Tim White’s ability to contribute on the offensive side wins him the job over Greg Dortch.

(Ed. Note - White comes in while Dortch and Thompson drop out)

TE (3): Wesco, Griffin, Tomlinson

Eric Tomlinson survives another year of final cuts after an uninspired showing from Daniel Brown.

(Ed. Note - Tomlinson for Brown is the lone change)

OL (9): Beachum, Osemele, Kalil, Winters, Shell, Edoga, Lewis, Harrison, Compton

Compton beats out an injured Qvale

(Ed. Note - No change from the previous leg)

Last three out on offense: Dortch, Qvale, Brown

DL (6): L Williams, Q Williams, Anderson, Kaufusi, McLendon, Fatukasi

The most noteworthy cut here is Nathan Shepherd, but Kyle Phillips impressed more in preseason and is my last DL to miss the cut.

(Ed. Note - Shepherd being out is the only change)

EDGE (5): Jenkins, Luvu, Basham, Polite, Langi

Langi’s ability to contribute on specials earns him a roster spot.

(Ed. Note - Langi coming in is the only change)

LB (4): Mosley, Hewitt, Cashman, McClellan

Albert McClellan beats out newly acquired Stephone Anthony for the last linebacker spot.

(Ed. Note - No change from the previous leg)

CB (6): Johnson, Roberts, Poole, Hairston, Cooper, K Brown

Undrafted rookie Kyron Brown snags the last CB spot ahead of Arthur Maulet and former 6th rounder Parry Nickerson

(Ed. Note - Nate Hairston takes Alex Brown's spot from the last leg)

S (4): Adams, Maye, Kindred, Miles

Derrick Kindred beats out last year’s depth safety Doug Middleton

(Ed. Note - Kindred for Middleton is the only change)

Last three out on defense: Kyle Phillips, Stephone Anthony, Arthur Maulet

ST (3): Carli Lloyd Cairo Santos, Lachlan Edwards, Thomas Hennessey

Santos was in camp with the Jets last year but wasn’t able to get healthy in time for the season.

(Ed. Note - Taylor Bertolet is replaced - that's the final change)
