Training Camp Practice Recap - 8/7/26

Training camp continued today with media on hand for the Jets' practice. Here's what went down according to those on hand:

  • Tyler Baron was added to the injured list and Demario Davis, Minkah Fitzpatrick and Harrison Phillips all had a rest day on a day when the Jets had a short practice without pads;
  • Geno Smith had a solid day as he went 8-for-12 with five of those to Garrett Wilson. One came on a throw down the middle and another was a leaping catch going against Azareye'h Thomas;
  • Dane Belton had an impressive pass breakup downfield on Omar Cooper, who also had a tough drop. Qwan'tez Stiggers, Tre Brown and Samuel Womack also each broke up a pass;
  • Cade Klubnik went 6-for 10 and was lucky not to be intercepted on two occasions;
  • Bailey Zappe was intercepted by Mykal Walker; and
  • There were a lot of pre-snap penalties on the offense, which was sloppy at times;
