Breaking: Jets draft Michael Carter II with the 154th pick

With the second of their two fifth rounders, the Jets gave fans a sense of deja vu by selecting a player with exactly the same name as a pick made earlier today.

However, this time, it's Duke defensive back Michael Carter. While he's been listed as a safety, Carter will likely play as a slot cornerback at the NFL level. He's undersized but ran a 4.32 at his pro day.

Carter broke up 23 passes and intercepted four in his college career. He's also had some good production on special teams.

The Jets have one more fifth round pick coming up at 162 and then three sixth rounders.

Welcome to the Jets, Michael!
