Breaking: Jets draft WR Denzel Mims with the 59th pick

The popular pick at 59 was Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims and that's who the Jets selected after moving back 11 spots. Mims brings the Jets an excellent combination of size (6'3"), speed (4.38) and strength at the catch point that could make him a good red zone threat.

Mims had two thousand-yard seasons at Baylor with 28 touchdowns in the last three seasons. However, Baylor runs a spread offense, so it might take Mims some time to get used to playing in a pro-style scheme.

Other players the Jets may have considered here include Temple Center Matt Hennessy, LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton and Notre Dame edge defender Julian Okwara. Then again, there's only nine more picks until they go again at 68 so maybe these players will still be options.
