Breaking: Jets sign Okorafor

Another move has hit the league transaction wire:

The Jets badly need to find a starting right tackle and Okorafor has 60 career starts and was the opening day starter for New England last season, so some may think this is their attempt to address that.

However, he lasted just 12 snaps before being benched because he was struggling so badly and had only been given the starting job because of an injury to Vederian Lowe anyway. After the benching, he essentially quit the team and reports indicated he wasn't sure if he wanted his career to continue. New England eventually waived him.

So, the Jets might give him a shot to prove he still wants to compete at this level, but are they bringing him in to be the number one right tackle? No chance.
