How the hell am I supposed to know who this is? - Clive Walford

The Jets re-signed tight end Clive Walford yesterday. But who is he?

Outlook:

Walford, a 27-year old former third-round pick, was with the Jets in preseason. However, he was released in final cuts after the Jets opted to retain Neal Sterling, Eric Tomlinson, Jordan Leggett and Chris Herndon, despite the fact that all four had missed time in preseason.

Walford caught seven passes for 92 yards, including gains of 18, 19 and 20 yards. However, he also dropped a pass in each of the last two games.

Walford had caught 61 passes in his first two seasons with the Raiders, but they got a new offensive coordinator in 2017 and he fell out of favor. He ended up with just nine catches.

After the Jets released Walford, he was without a job for most of the season. The Colts signed him last month, but he didn't play and then got released the following week.
