Injury Update: Crowder to miss Sunday's game

The final injury report for Sunday's home opener is out:

Crowder was ruled out before practice by Adams Gase, which is an obvious blow. It will, however, give Braxton Berrios a good chance to prove himself worthy of more reps on offense.

The Jets have two open roster spots and the ability to elevate two players from the practice squad so they have the flexibility to add two of the four receivers currently on there - Josh Malone, DJ Montgomery, Jaleel Scott and Lawrence Cager - to fill out the rotation.

On a brighter note, Gase expressed optimism that Perine and Williamson would be available for Sunday.

If either of them can't go, then Alec Ogletree and Josh Adams could be added to the roster or elevated from the practice squad.

Basham was listed as questionable along with Perine and Williamson but the Jets have plenty of options to fill in at the edge defender position already on their roster.

Flacco still isn't ready to play, so Gase has confirmed Mike White will serve as the number two on Sunday.

As for San Francisco, they are pretty banged up with a number of contributors already on injured reserve. For this game, star tight end George Kittle and cornerback Jason Verrett have been ruled out and Dee Ford is questionable.
