Injury update: Trumaine Johnson to miss Broncos game

The Jets announced their final injury report for Sunday and there was a big blow to the secondary as Trumaine Johnson has been ruled out with a quad injury suffered at practice yesterday.

Neal Sterling and Charone Peake have also been ruled out again, while Marcus Maye is questionable having played last week.

Quincy Enunwa and Darryl Roberts, who suffered minor injuries in practice yesterday should be good to go.

The severity of Johnson's injury is unclear at this stage as Todd Bowles wouldn't speculate on his availability beyond this week and simply described it as "a strain".

The Jets will either replace Johnson with Roberts or move Buster Skrine to the outside and use Parry Nickerson in the slot. Todd Bowles confirmed that Rashard Robinson won't play this week having returned to practice following his suspension. The Jets' roster exemption on Robinson expires on Monday so they will have to decide then whether to roster him or let him go.

In other concerning news, defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers will be unavailable due to illness. Bowles reportedly sounded very concerned as he relayed to the media that this is "a serious thing". We wish Rodgers a speedy recovery.
