Roster News: Jets claim DE Tarell Basham

The Jets have reportedly made a move for another young pass rusher:

Basham is a good athlete and was a popular draft prospect out of Ohio last year. He eventually got drafted by the Colts in the third round. He didn't play much as a rookie though, although he did record two sacks. He has had some issues with a knee injury but ultimately was a disappointment with the Colts and never showed the same potential he did in his 11.5-sack senior year.

The Jets also play the Colts soon so he should be able to give the coaches some valuable intel.

UPDATE: The corresponding move sent Bronson Kaufusi, who was only activated off the practice squad a few days ago, to waivers. If he clears, perhaps he will go back onto the practice squad.
