Jets Camp Practice Recap - 8/24/22

The Jets held another camp practice today with media on hand, so here's what went down based on reports from those in attendance:

  • Quinnen Williams, who has been out with an ankle issue, was stretching with the team;
  • Duane Brown took part in team drills, as previously planned;
  • It was a light practice with the joint practice coming up tomorrow;
  • Ahmad Gardner broke up a deep pass from Joe Flacco to Braxton Berrios. It was a busy practice for Gardner overall;
  • Flacco hit Corey Davis in stride for a touchdown;
  • Irvin Charles, who suffered a rib injury in the Falcons game on Monday night was practicing and caught a long pass from Mike White;
  • White also threw a red zone touchdown to Calvin Jackson;
  • Garrett Wilson dropped a screen pass;
  • Jordan Whitehead had a pass break-up in the red zone period;
  • Bradlee Anae had a strip-sack of Flacco;
  • Deuce Carter had a pass break-up against Ace Carter;
  • Carter also dropped an interception that ended up in the hands of Braxton Berrios;
  • To end practice, Joe Flacco led a 13-play drive that culminated in a Carter touchdown run and then found him on the two-point conversion as well; and
  • Greg Zuerlein made six straight field goals including one that was comfortably good from 53 yards.

The Jets and Giants will conduct a joint practice tomorrow at the Giants' practice complex. The teams meet in the preseason finale on Sunday.
