Roster News: Jets acquire Raiders OL Meredith

The Jets are adding some depth:

Xavier Newman, Kohl Levao and Liam Fornadel played center in preseason and none performed consistently enough to be a good option to be the fourth interior lineman, although Newman was probably the favorite to be retained.

The Jets have plenty of flexibility on their starting unit as all three interior starters have made multiple starts and played well at the center position.

Meredith has started at all three interior positions and as a general rule has played better as a guard.
