Roster News: Jets add two, release two from practice squad

The Jets opened the week with a couple of depth moves:

These moves could provide cover this week if Ace Carter and Chazz Surratt can't practice following injuries suffered in the Bears game. Robert Saleh described Carter as day to day and said he could play on Sunday. He has a low ankle sprain.

Nacua played safety for the Jets at the end of last season and was with them in camp this year where he converted to linebacker and was apparently a good locker room leader.

The 25-year old Ward was undrafted out of UCM in 2020 but played in 32 games with the Cardinals over the past two and a half seasons. He rushed nine times for 33 yards and caught four passes for 45 yards and a touchdown and also registered 13 tackles. Ward rushed for over a thousand yards twice at UCM, caught 98 passes in four seasons and scored 32 total touchdowns.
