Roster News: Jets re-sign David Bass

Amidst reports that they’ve also signed his brother as an undrafted free agent, the Jets have brought back one of their free agent edge defenders:

The Jets are re-signing FA OLB David Bass, as @DraftDiamonds reported. He had 3.5 sacks last season for the #Jets

Bass was arguably the Jets’ most effective pass rusher in 2017 and it was surprising they waited this long to re-sign him after letting Kony Ealy - who lost reps to Bass down the stretch - walk in free agency.

However, perhaps the delay was due to Bass waiting to see if the Jets added a bunch of youngsters he’d struggle to beat out.

(They did not).
