Roster News: Jets re-sign Neville Hewitt

Another of last year's injury fill-ins is coming back for 2020:

Free-agent linebacker Neville Hewitt is signing back with the Jets on a one-year, $2 million deal, per @RosenhausSports.

Hewitt made 12 starts and had career highs in tackles (75), pass break-ups (five), sacks (three) and interceptions (two) in 2019 but has consistently graded out in the 40's over the past few years according to Pro Football Focus.

His projected role will be as a reserve and special teamer but the ability to line up in either inside linebacker position is useful.
