Roster News: Jets release Kalen Ballage

With Le'Veon Bell due back this week and Ty Johnson having just been claimed on waivers, something had to give:

We have signed QB Mike White to the practice squad and released RB Kalen Ballage from the active roster.

It's positive to know that the Jets were prepared to get rid of a player Adam Gase has obviously been high on. He made a bunch of mistakes on Thursday night, some of which put Sam Darnold in jeopardy.

We'll have a scouting report on Johnson for you within the next few days. Hopefully he'll be a clear upgrade.

As noted, the Jets signed Mike White back to the practice squad too. This is a logical move, especially with Darnold's status uncertain for Sunday.
