Roster News: Jets sign CB Shelton, release RB Crockett

The Jets made one roster move today:

We have signed CB Nehemiah Shelton and released RB Damarea Crockett.

The rookie Shelton has nice height and length but may need to bulk up and had a disappointing pro day as he went undrafted in the 2023 draft.

Crockett being expendable probably has more to do with Breece Hall joining practice from today than it does the Dalvin Cook signing but he was obviously not going to compete for a spot.
