Roster News: Jets sign Remmers to practice squad
With George Fant ailing, the Jets addressed the need for cover at tackle.
Veteran tackle Mike Remmers is signing to the #Jets practice squad and will be on their active roster in the next week or so once he's up to speed, per his agent @TesslerSports.

The 33-year old Remmers has started 90 NFL games and can play multiple positions.
It's unlikely that Remmers will be ready in time to start this weekend, so the Jets might be forced to start their fourth and fifth choice tackles (Max Mitchell and Conor McDermott). Ironically, by the time Remmers is ready to go, Duane Brown and Fant could both be healthy enough to start, so he might never get his opportunity.
