Roster News: Jets sign WR Shepard to practice squad

With Omar Cooper week to week with a knee injury that apparently could keep him sidelined for 3-4 weeks, the Jets have added some veteran cover:

Shepard, who is 33, looked to be washed up a few years ago after only playing three games in 2022 and then having just 10 catches in 15 games in 2023. However, he bounced back to an extent with the Bucs as he had 32 catches including eight touchdowns in 2024. He had 34 catches last year.

Earlier on in his career, Shepard - who is a 5'10" former second round pick - caught 65 or more passes in three separate seasons with the Giants.
