Roster News: Jets to add QB Rypien, release Boyle

The Jets are making a move:

I’m told the #Jets are signing QB Brett Rypien off of Seattle’s practice squad and are releasing Tim Boyle, per source.

The Jets almost added Rypien, who has previously played for the Rams and Broncos, earlier this year. He has made four starts in his career, two of which were against the Jets (a 37-28 win in 2020 and a 16-9 loss last season). He won another start in 2022 but his only start of 2023 was a 20-3 loss a few weeks ago with the Rams in Green Bay.
