Roster News: Jets to sign WR Hardman

The Jets have made another move:

The #Jets are signing WR Mecole Hardman, per source.

This is probably mostly designed to replace Braxton Berrios in the return game. The 25-year old Hardman has extensive experience of returning both kicks and punts. He has averaged nine yards per punt return with a touchdown and 24 yards per kickoff return with a touchdown at the NFL level.

He has had some decent production as a receiver too though, catching 59 passes for almost 700 yards in his most productive season in 2021. He has also scored 20 total touchdowns in four years.

As with the Allen Lazard signing, one of the most interesting aspects of this is what might happen with some of the players already on the team.
