Roster News: Marshall poached from Jets practice squad

The Jets have lost one of their young players:

Marshall was an athletic prospect but looked out of his depth at the NFL level because of his constant struggles to hold up at the point of attack. He played four games last season, recording two tackles and a quarterback hit, but - tellingly - saw Tanzel Smart elevated ahead of him when Sheldon Rankins was injured earlier this year.

The Jets will hope Quinnen Williams doesn't miss any time with his calf injury suffered on Sunday, but if he did, then Marshall ironically could have been in line for his first play time of the season as Smart only has one standard elevation left.

The Jets also made a minor practice squad move:

Spencer was already on the practice squad a few weeks ago. His scouting report is here. Harris, who has played in 11 games this year and registered 12 tackles, has been on the practice squad for a few weeks and has two standard elevations remaining.
