Buzz: Jets to re-sign Ballage

The Jets have re-signed running back Kalen Ballage in the wake of the Le'Veon Bell injury, according to a post from his agent's instagram page.

Ballage was traded to the Jets for a conditional pick last month but the deal was cancelled when he failed his physical and he reverted to the Dolphins who released him with an injury settlement. We reported the original signing here.

Another rumor suggests the Jets are going to add linebacker Paul Worrilow to their practice squad following Blake Cashman's injury on Sunday. Worrilow came out of retirement to join the Jets last season only to end up on injured reserve after just a few weeks.

Other possible moves could be elevating recently signed linebacker Alec Ogletree to the main roster and considering whether to put Bell, Cashman or Denzel Mims onto injured reserve. The Jets will need to create a roster spot to add Ballage but if nobody is placed on injured reserve, releasing Mike White back to the practice squad could be another option.
